Your client's checklist, built automatically

Upload last year's return. We analyze it, identify what your client needs to provide, and generate a personalized checklist.

All automatic. All specific. All without you reviewing 50 pages of forms.

How it works

1. Upload

Drop in the prior-year 1040 (with schedules). We handle PDFs of any length.

2. Analysis

Our AI reads every form—W-2s, 1099s, schedules, all of it. It extracts names, employers, income sources, deductions, credits, dependents.

3. Checklist

Based on what we find, we generate a request list tailored to that specific client. Not a generic checklist. Their checklist.

What makes it smart

We know who paid them. Had two W-2s last year? We create two line items: "W-2 from Acme Corp" and "W-2 from Tech Startup Inc." Not just "please provide your W-2s."

We add context. Each item includes hints like "Last year you earned $75,000 from this employer" so clients know exactly what we're asking for.

We prioritize. Critical items (W-2s, 1099s) surface first. Optional items stay at the bottom. Your client sees what matters most.

We remember the details. Interest from three banks? Dividends from two brokerages? Rental income from a property? Each gets its own line item with the institution name attached.

What your clients see

A checklist that feels like you built it by hand:

Form W-2 from Acme Corporation

Wage and tax statement from your employer. Last year you earned $75,000 from Acme Corporation.

Form 1099-INT from Chase Bank

Interest income statement. You received interest income from this account last year.

Form 1099-DIV from Fidelity

Dividend income statement. You had dividend income from this brokerage account.

Each item shows: what it is, where to find it, and why we're asking.

When documents arrive

Client uploads a W-2. We automatically:

  • Identify it as a W-2
  • Extract the employer name
  • Match it to the right checklist item
  • Mark that item complete

No manual matching. No dragging files into folders. Upload → matched → done.

The coverage

We recognize 50+ IRS forms:

  • Income: W-2, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-R
  • Deductions: Mortgage interest, property taxes, charitable contributions
  • Credits: Child tax credit, education credits, earned income credit
  • Schedules: A, B, C, D, E and more

If it showed up on last year's return, we'll ask for this year's version.

The technical stuff

60+ scenarios analyzed. We check for wages, investments, self-employment, rental income, dependents, education expenses, home office deductions—everything that might generate a document request.

Confidence scoring. Every item includes our confidence level (high/medium/low) so you know which requests are certain vs. educated guesses.

Parallel processing. Large returns with dozens of forms process in under a minute.
